It was in year 2000 when I moved from Mayur Vihar (Delhi) to Indirapuram. Except Shipra Regalia, there were no high rise buildings. By the year 2006, several societies with high rise towers (16 storied) came up in Indirapuram. More than 45000 flats constructed. About 10 banks opened their shops. Roads widened. Number of business establishments mushroomed.Malls and shopping complexes constructed. I saw most of the families shifting to Indirapuram are from Delhi or outside Delhi. Monthly publications carrying only advertisements started. They use to distribute FREE. One needs to pay for getting listed. Also one needs to keep these magazines to refer them whenever they want any information. These publications are not complete because they list only paid advertisements. Latest information about neighborhood was very important for the local residents. As a resident of Indirapuram, I use to get queries from my friends and neighbors like “What is the PIN Code of Indirapuram? Where is the cooking Gas Agency? Where can I order food for home delivery? etc.” These questions really gave me an idea to start a website to provide such small but important information to the local residents. Accordingly, IndirapuramGuide.com was born in January, 2007. I am not a good web programmer. But tried to learn Microsoft Front Page and created a website. Now a web designer joined me. Now, it not only contains yellow pages, but one can view and post free classifieds also. We added list of useful websites, important phone numbers etc. Now adding more information and contents that is useful for the local residents. Now you can get all local information 24x7 at this website. The website is updated on regular basis.
